Because there are no inclusions and the provenance is a little sketchy, it is unclear if these are actually coprolites. They were reportedly found while digging a storm cellar in the 1960's on property belonging to the McGanty family. The fossil remains of a ceratogaulus (aka horned gopher) were said to have unearthed in the same excavation area. For this reason, it is possible that one or more of these coprolites are from a horned gopher or an animal that preyed on it.
