A heteropolar spiral coprolite is considered to be a macrospiral if the coils are present over 50% to 75% of the length of the coprolite. While generally attributed to sharks, these coprolites may have been produced by a number of fish with a spiral valve. These included, but are not limited to rays, skates, lungfish, and gars.
