This spiral coprolite was found diving coastal rivers of South Carolina while hunting for Megalodon teeth. While coprolites of this type are generally attributed to sharks, other fish modern fish such as rays, skates, lungfishes, birchirs, gars and sturgeons are also known to have spiral valves. Judging from the size, this was poo-duced by a mighty large fish.
