Pandemic? How about playing with poop (the fossilized variety)? Armed with an X-acto blade I began slowly removing the coprolite phosphatic material from around the exposed bone on the broken surface of this poo piece. When bones are tiny, excavation of this type is best done under a microscope. Looks like a small rodent was on the menu. Tiny toe bones and a molar were just under the surface.
