This half specimen could be a rather crappy cast of a fish spiral valve. Why do I think that? Take a look at the last photo. The arrow is pointing to what looks like soft tissue, and I'm not talking the Puffs or poop variety. I'm referring to spiral valve tissue. That would make this a cololite (unpooped poop) rather than a coprolite. The uncut exterior was highly abraded by the wave action along the shore of Church Cliff Bay.
